Held my daughters baptism here with 16 family and friends and everything from start to finish was fantastic. Dealing with the owner Mark and his event planner Shawna every detail was discussed prior with confidence and on the day of our hostess Sara was absolutely wonderful, courteous and very well organized. Can’t wait to host another event here! Keep up the great work!

We celebrated a birthday at Joia on Main and it was wonderful! The food was great! (Fantastic choice of specials tonight!) The service was amazing. We've traditionally gone to the Aurora location and thought we'd check out Newmarket. We'll definitely be back to enjoy patio season!
Great food great time great atmosphere. Dont worry about the one old guy saying Aurora is better. Clearly has an issue with the place. Staff are amazing and food was excellent. Atmosphere was very nice. Would go back for sure.
Love this restaurant and its staff. The chefs make amazing food— it tastes like it should, and it’s evident the best ingredients, proper care, and time go into what’s made. The Caesar salad is a favourite starter. The fire and stone baked pizzas are always fantastic, and is my go-to, as is the pasta. The food is like most of the highest quality I’ve had the privilege of eating in Italy— one of my favourite places to travel with work. Last time in, I had the chef’s pizza with potatoes, sausage, red pepper and something else. I was so glad I tried it. The atmosphere is always great— people at the bar, laughter, chatting, and usually someone celebrating something. Also fantastic when it’s patio season!! Everything is always clean including bathrooms downstairs. Event room available upstairs as well. Thanks to all wait staff for amazing, kind, and personable service each and every single time. We will definitely keep coming back.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Toronto. It’s north of the city by about 50 minutes (Newmarket) located in the old town. And it’s an absolute gem serving authentic Italian meals that range from pizza, pasta and other classics like risotto and veal. The quality is the food is exceptional and consistent. I’ve been many time and I have never been disappointed. The owner maintains a family like atmosphere making everyone feel welcome and appreciated. My favorite meal is the their pizza (cooked in a wood burning oven) and spaghetti bolognese. The restaurant has a cool open air concept. Great seating indoors and outside on the patio. If you find yourself north is the city for golf or any other activity, bookmark this place. Well worth a visit.
Just a great place. Been to Joia, in Aurora, tons of times but this was my first time to the one in Newmarket. My server was awesome. She was very focused on delivering an outstanding experience. The location itself is gorgeous and I cannot wait for Spring and the opening of their patio. My food was excellent and I LOVE their pizza.
Always a great time here. Patio season does not disappoint with cover bands performing directly in front of the patio on Thursdays. Servers are personable and efficient, getting you what you need in a timely manner. Caesar and calamari are always a staple to my order and the sauce with the mussels was amazing. They had a tomahawk on their specials menu and it was amazing and stuffer 4 people. Be sure to try this restaurant if you’re looking for a great evening in Newmarket
